STAG Publishing artist Some.Unique.Individual is a South African alternative RnB singer-songwriter and musician. Commonly known for his unique vocal cadence, witty storytelling, out the box flow and distinct artisanal aesthetic.
Armed with strong influences from Steve Lacy and NxWorries, Sui aims to make a splash on South Africa’s indie/alternative pop scene by merging eccentricity with an easy-going, cool demeanour. He prides himself as a true artist, submerged in the vulnerability and pursuit of finding balance through music and self. Always keen to try something different, Sui’s next musical chapter boasts a more dancey, electric feel and serves as the spiritual successor of his previous single Lukewarm, which is available on all streaming platforms.
The Story
Sunset Drive Presents the 4th instalment and sonic arc of Some.Unique.Individual in the form of a 4- track EP. The new piece explores the thrills and chills of euphoria; whilst the production element accents and anchors itself towards indie/alternative pop genre with reminiscence of RnB/Soul.
Releasing 26 May 2023, this “sonic love letter captured in a time capsule” is dedicated to his late friend, Kupakwashe Kambasha, who helped produce Sunset Drive.
