A Successful AGM Sets the Stage for 2025
On 11 December 2024, the MPASA AGM 2024 took place and marked the end of another year in our journey to empower and uplift the music publishing industry in South Africa.
We were delighted to welcome our members to this pivotal event, where we reflected on 2024’s accomplishments and discussed our hopes for 2025.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all members who attended, whether in person or virtually. Your presence and continued support are the backbone of MPASA’s efforts to strengthen the industry.
Changes to the board
This year’s AGM was especially memorable as we bid a heartfelt farewell to two of our directors, Louise Bulley (Mama Dance) and Moonga Mkandawire (Mpezeni Street Holdings). Their contributions have left a lasting impact, and we are deeply grateful for their service. At the same time, we are thrilled to welcome our new director, Tumi Mogapi (Africori), to the MPASA Board. We look forward to the fresh perspectives and energy she brings to the team as we step into 2025.
MPASA Partnerships
During the AGM, MPASA also reported on our ongoing collaborations with key industry players, including FAME Week Africa, KUMISA, SAMRO, and CAPASSO. These partnerships continue to unlock exciting opportunities for our members, and we are eager to build on this momentum in the coming year.
A Look Forward to 2025
As we look toward the next year, MPASA is excited to continue building on the successes of this year. We remain dedicated to fostering collaboration, driving impactful change, and unlocking opportunities that empower our members and the broader creative community.
Thank you for being an integral part of our story. Here’s to another year of growth, collaboration, and success ahead!
